European Individual Women's Chess Championship 2014: Round 8-11

Over and done with

Finally, the European Individual Women‘s Chess Championship is over. Honestly, I was looking forward to the end since round number 5. I tried to fight, yet all attempts were in vain. 5/11 and minus 40 rating points (I am even not sure if this is calculated with the correct factor) was the upsetting result. I guess there is nothing better than forgetting this tournament as soon as possible. Anyway, thank you very much for your support!

The highlight of my stay in Plovdiv was definitely the finale of the World Cup. German soccer team managed to cheer me up :-).

The next two weeks I am going to concentrate on preparing for the Olympiad. There is a training camp starting next Tuesday. Until then I will probably stay away from chess with the exception of a chess-soccer-tournament on Saturday.

That’s it for now. I am going to report from the Olympiad again. So long!
